Experienced Therapists and Counselors

People come to McKane and Associates in their hardest times. With confidence we guide them toward a better, wiser life. Starting as a one-woman psychotherapy practice in 1984, we have grown to a group of three in a spacious, serene suite of offices in St. Charles, Illinois.

You'll find our staff are ready to listen in a way family and friends cannot. They will help you re-evaluate, always free of judging. You and your therapist will work as a team: the effort to change will be your work; the job of trail guide will be the therapist's. We are honest, forthright and eager to celebrate when you graduate.

At present we offer individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy. An Emotion Regulation Skills Group will start soon. Designed for people who want to better manage their emotions, the group will follow the principles of Dr. Marcia Linehan's Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

We are available for public speaking. Some recent topics:

You'll find our location ideal: a soothing atmosphere, privately situated, with wooded views from all our windows, yet convenient to find on the south side of Rt 64, and always plenty of parking.

Actual Praise

"You've really helped me to see things clearly, bolstered my courage and given me a sense of calm fortitude."

"I think Beth has a gifted, empathic personality. As far as therapists go, I think Beth is brilliant. She gives it to me straight and yet speaks the truth in love - I think I respect her for that the most."

"I could have walked away [from my marriage] so easily, but I'm glad I stayed. We attribute our success to our work with you. "
